Properties:

It Acts by combining with 50 S ribosomal subunit, so it prevents. Peptide bond formation.
Indications:
For the treatment of diseases of the digestive and respiratory system resulting from -ve microbes.
For prevention and treatment of salmonella and E-coli.
For animals it is used to treat enteritis, calf scour in calves.
Dose:
For birds -- 1 gm / liter of water for 3-5 days
For calves and sheep -- 0.25 - 1 gm / 100 kg of body weight for 3-5 days.
